Recycling:
Recycling days for February are Friday the 1st and the 15th.


Christmas Trees:

Everyone is welcome. Tuesday, February 19th at the Museum. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., bonfire starts at 7:00 p.m. Free coffee and hot chocolate will be served along with free tours of the museum building. All are welcome to attend the Museum Annual Meeting starting at 8:00 p.m.


Curling Bonspiels:
Want to have some fun & exercise? Come out and support the Hague Curling Club. A Ladies Bonspiel is planned for February 22nd & 23rd and an Open Bonspiel for March 7th & 8th. For more information, contact Sally Wall at 225-4426.


EMO Volunteers:
If anyone is interested in Emergency Measures in our Town and would have as little as one hour per month to volunteer time in reviewing and organizing our plan, please contact the office.  The more people in our community willing to help and can be relied on in an emergency situation would be a benefit to the Town.  


Is A Building Permit Required?

Building permits are required for:  
Building construction  
Garages & carports  
Decks  
Mobile homes  
Renovations, alterations or additions  
Relocation of a building  
Basement development  
Change of use (i.e. office to residence)
In-ground pools and hot tubs  
Demolition of a building  
Temporary buildings
Retaining walls
Building permits are not usually required for:
Fences (see office for regulations)  
Driveways and parking lots
Sidewalks
Painting, decorating, laying carpet, etc.
Replacement using the same materials such as roofing,
siding, windows
Accessory buildings (garden and tool sheds) not greater than 10m2 in area

If unsure if a permit is required, please check at the Town Office and we will be happy to provide answers.


Office Hours:

Hague Town Office will be closed for Family Day on Monday, February 18th, 2008
