Water Bills High?
Does
your water bill seem to be higher than normal? An easy way to
check if you have a leak:
When
you think that all water is turned off in your house (ie:
washing machine, dish washer, water softener, garden hose, etc) look
on the face of your water meter. There is a small circle with
a red arrow inside it. If the arrow is not moving, there is no
water being lost. If the arrow is turning, even slightly, there is
water being used.
One
method to check if water is leaking from the toilet is to place a
few drops of food coloring in the tank and see how long it takes for
the color to reach the water in the bowl of the toilet.
Due
to the cost of water, it may be in your best interest to have a
plumber fix any potential leaks.
